The collection consists of two scrapbooks compiled by R. A. Meyer’s grandmother Mae C. Meyer. They document Meyer’s college football and baseball careers at Black Hills State College, as well as time playing for the American Legion Post 17 Lakers. The scrapbooks contain Meyer’s college letter with football and baseball pins, newspaper clippings, photographs, programs, certificates, and other items.

Thomas E. Odell Papers
Collection contains Odell's research notes from his various writing projects most notably "Mato Paha," Philip Well's manuscript from "Ninety-Five Years Among the Indians of the Northwest," mining notes, interviews Odell conducted with Native Americans, notes about military expeditions, etc. The collection also includes Odell's correspondence with Badger Clark, General Hugh Scott, Francis Case, Leland Case, and others. Odell's diaries are also part of the collection.

Troy L. and Watson Parker Collection
The collection contains a vast array of materials relating to the Black Hills. There are some materials from Watson's research, but the majority of the material is ephemeral publications, particularly related tourism. There is also a small series of postcards. There are a few older historic documents, but the bulk of the materials are from the time after the Parkers stopped managing Palmer Gulch Lodge.
