About Black Hills sarvisberry picking, ca. 1900-1915? Aged former Black Hills miner known as "the Dutchman" grew enormous sarvisberries on secret plot near Tinton, Lawrence County, South Dakota, and sold them in Lead, South Dakota. Author's grandfather, age ten, secretly tailed him to the site. Author and family picked enormous sarvisberries on same site, ca. 1933 and 1995.
