General
"The Last Man's Club" consisted of 35 Civil War veterans who, starting in 1885, met every year in Stillwater, MN on July 21. The last man left alive was to drink a toast to the rest. On July 21, 1930, Captain Charles Morey Lockwood of Chamberlain, South Dakota, was that man. Paper incorrectly gives his middle name as Norby.
