Beaver Creek School Collection
Scope and Contents
The collection contains school records including, meeting minutes, financial reports, attendance records, grades, daily schedules, teacher's notes, record of graduates, record of visitors, and inventories and loan records for library books and text books. There are also reproduced photographs of students.

Biographical / Historical
Lawrence County School District No. 72 formed on January 15, 1889. Originally called "Powers," the school name was changed to "Beaver Creek" on November 4, 1891. It was comprised of 18 sections of the west half of T6N R1E. Grades 1 through 8 were taught in the school. At the close of the 1962-63 school year, the district was combined with School District No. 4.
