Biographical Note
Frances Rebecca Doud was born September 1, 1905, in Rapid City, South Dakota. She was raised on a ranch near Fairpoint. She graduated from Sturgis High School before attending Spearfish Normal School. She married Julius George Haedt, and the two lived in Piedmont for a short time, then moved to Lead. They remained there for some time before moving to Rapid City in 1976. She died February 18, 1999, in Rapid City.
