Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The collection contains records from the Lawrence County Extension Office from 1917- 2004. The Extension Agents' reports detail numerous events activities in which the Extension Office was involved. The events took place primarily in Lawrence County and surrounding Black Hills. There are a number of Scrapbooks from various 4–H clubs hosted in Butte and Lawrence County. Other items included are: Minutes from the Lawrence County Extension Council meeting notes from 1960-1995; Documents pertaining to the Quarter Century Club; photographs of Extension office and 4-H, activities, 1958-1987; State and County fair booklets; Awards and plaques given to 4-H(s); Extension Homemakers club documents (FCE); Home Extension club documents; and Horticulture information published between 1924-1999.
