The collection includes the official history of the 93rd Army Air Forces College Training Detachment, a reference manual created by King to facilitate his work, issues of the detachment's newspaper, a scrapbook of newspaper clippings, a photograph album with images taken by Spearfish photographer Josef Fassbender, assorted photographs, and postcards. The flag of the 93rd AAF CTD, which had been presented to Homer Lewis, and a squadron flag are part of the collection. It also includes documents and photographs related to King's military career and service in World War II, as well as materials related to his wife, Joan Sunderland, and her family.
